Cooler Recycling Solutions (CRS) offers an alternative to traditional scrap and recycling operations.

Our aim is to establish a working partnership with our customers. We serve, amongst others, the brewery, dairy and commercial refrigeration, air-conditioning industries. As opposed to offering to collect on an arbitrary, unaccountable tonnage basis, we provide an end-of-life asset recovery option. This involves accurate accounting and auditing of materials, enabling us to give you the best possible financial return.

The directors of our family-run company have extensive experience of the recycling and scrap industry.

How we look after the environment

We conduct our business in a responsible manner by reducing waste, emissions and discharges and by using energy efficiently.

We train all our people to support this drive. Building on our February 2008 accreditation to ISO 9001 – within 16 months of actively starting business – we continue to develop an Environmental Management System (EMS) and target achievement of ISO 14001 status by 2009.

Our EMS helps us continuously improve our efficiency and ensure that our everyday actions are assessed for their impact on the environment, at the same time as complying with all relevant legislation.

Environmental Management System Policy

We are proud to announce that we are implementing an environmental management system (EMS) in order that we can understand, influence and reduce the environmental impact of our business activities.

Part of the implementation plan is to communicate our environmental intentions and policy to our customers, suppliers and interested parties - please check out our policy.

All our people are aware of the need to reduce our environmental impact and significance while remaining a profitable company. We have put in place a series of company objectives which we’d be happy to share if you contact us. We will of course be updating this site on a regular basis as our progress develops.

Did you know?

Foam panels in fridges and other cooling equipment contain Ozone Depleting Substances like HFCs, which have been shown to cause global warming.

The compressors which allow the equipment to operate also contain oil, which too is classed as hazardous waste.

Both of these materials need to be expertly removed when a fridge or cooler is scrapped...
